South London Rapper Mobb Ryder links up with with singer Shox the Rebel on the chorus for a new music video by GRM Daily, for a track called “The Otherside”, taken from his most recent mixtape “The Blockumentary”. Mobb Ryder rhymes about the lack of freedom, the lack of chances and breaks that most living in poverty start out in life with, most going through pain, ending in jail or death, trying to stay strong everyday, but there are many things to take us down still. Mobb Ryder perception comes from what he has witnessed in his own block of flats, speaking about watching his mother struggling, his brother wasting away, whilst those who don’t understand just frown. Although these are Mobb’s own experiences, Mobb Ryder seems to pour out his heart, rhyming with conviction, and speaking for the masses going through the same, and Shox adds the more mellow side to the track, singing amazingly, softly spoke, and solemnly on the hook. The visuals are shot, following Mobb Ryder around any block of flats, as well as some streets in London, as he and Shox seem deep in thought under the street lights and night skies.
