If you are in to Grime, then PK should already be on your radar. PK is one of the most talked about of the youngest talents in the scene, and J Cush says “I think PK could be the D Double of his generation”. The Camden MC is part of YGG along with Lyrical Strally and Saint P, and has just recently released his debut solo EP ‘Bad Ombre’. ‘Yosho’ is the first visual from the EP, and has previously premiered on DJ Target’s BBC Radio 1Xtra show as the ‘Targo Embargo’ track, the same show that PK appeared on to introduce the single and talk about the project, in high demand from fans. ‘Yosho’ is produced by J Beatz and is just a taster of the 4-track EP, as PK licks down up-tempo 140bpm beats, possessing energetic, fast-paced flows and bars brimming with wit and confidence.

One of Grime’s founding fathers, Flowdan is on board for the release of the ‘Bad Ombre’ EP, putting it out on his Spentshell label. Flowdan himself has been prominent, just as PK with YGG has risen to, as an integral part of the Jungle and pirate radio generation, and has been in grime’s most historic and successful collectives including Pay As U Go Cartel and Roll Deep. Spentshell is Flowdan’s artist development and record label, his vast career, understanding and knowledge awarding him with the wisdom and capability to do so.

“I’ve been in the grime scene since before it had a name and with it being part of my fabric, it felt like exactly the right time to develop my own label. I have developed Spentshell to be the go to grime music label, staying authentic to the essence of grime while developing new talent and nurturing it alongside more established grime artists, providing opportunities for collaborations that wouldn’t otherwise exist. PK’s EP is a perfect example of what the label is out to achieve and it’s been amazing to work alongside him with this, not only does Bad Ombre highlight just a snippet of the unlimited energy and character that he brings to the grime table, but it’s also allowed me to bring my own experience on board to help him achieve such a solid body of work.
