Rhymes Galore present the new EP “Friction” from producer Polo, which sees him drop five solid instrumentals. The title track “Friction” is a heavyweight Grime track, with a reverb on the beat, the beat is an up-tempo Grime beat, with an excellent catchy drum pattern, the whole riddim is ultra-catchy. “Trouble VIP” is another Grime instrumental, which incorporates a heavy bass, with a break which puts me in mind of a Swifta Beater type instrumental. “Spin” is also the same, piano-led Grime production, “Cell” is a straight-up Trap beat, whilst “Zombies” is an eerie bit of production by Polo, a Grime beat which lives up to it’s name, a deadly instrumental. By listening to each track, Polo seems to of had an idea in mind when producing each individual beat, but with the artist in mind, they are ready for any emcee to take an vocal now.
