UK Urban Singer/Songwriter Ray Ryann unveils a new release for free download with ‘About Time’ EP. The project contains five tracks with features from fellow Leicester artist and rapper JB, as well as D. The production overall is hard hitting, pounding Trapesque beats that allows Ray to mix it up with silky smooth singing vocals, such as on the opening intro on which he comes on the track like Frank Ocean on Swim Good as he vocalizes fantastically, the lyrics depicting his desire to win and getting money. Two tracks explore Ray Ryann’s infatuation with the female species, ‘Aint Gone Lie’ features lyricism from both JB and Ray are upfront about what they would like to get up to with a certain girl, whilst ‘Aint Lookin’ holds back on the feelings for a woman in a club who has eyes set on the guy, the male finding it hard to resist her beauty. ‘Those Days’ features high-pitch background vocals over a bass-heavy beat consisting of melodious guitar strings on this RnB/Hip Hop instrumental, as Ray Ryann sings about the days gone by with his ex girlfriend, noting the emptiness and the change without her. Ray puts down great vocals her for a touching track, with trembling yet harmonic vocals. The final track on the EP is entitled ‘D.Y.S.T’ and is a grungy, slow but hard hitting trap production, with distorted vocals from Ray Ryann as he expresses his feelings of euphoria with the transition of nights and days, as he delivers rather trippy vocals.
