Considered a Godfather of British Hip Hop and definitely a pioneer of the UK Hip Hop scene and legendary veteran, the Riddim Killa that is Rodney P collaborates with DJ Die and Indigo Kid for a new fusion of Ska and Hip Hop on ‘Holes In The Building’. The London Posse lyricist and Indigo Kid take to an infectious beat with stuttering trumpet horns, booming bassline and crisp percussion, with the lyrics about how nowadays there are two ways the youth can go, down a road of crime due to boredom, partying yet bringing the occasional brush with the law, or getting a regular 9 to 5 job with crap pay, sell drugs or get creative. This track promotes and encourages the latter, with the Rodney and Indigo Kid trying to motivate the youth in to more positive pastimes. The superb visuals are animated, depicting a police chase round a run down city with cracks in windows and holes in buildings, shoot outs taking place, yet the two criminals dream of more fun times.
