Saint Paul took to his official soundcloud to release a brand spankin new Hip Hop banger entitled “Determination”, taken from the new ep titled ”to be free is to be yourself”. Saint enlists the help of fellow rapper Cartz features production by the talented Mic Lo The Dreamer. The production on Determination has old skool sounding Hip Hop percussion, intricate hi hats and snares, with sauntering swing to the beats, ambient melodic keys and synths and delicate vocal samples in the back ground. Saint Paul and Cartz go ham with the bars, getting deep with the lyricism, spitting about the pain in their lives, obstacles in their way, self doubt and an unwavering determination to make the music regardless and attain success in their chosen field. The pair even deliver a fantastic back to back verse vibesing off each other and getting fully immersed in the music. Both rappers kill it with the flows, meandering effortlessly over the beats, with punchlines and immaculate wordplay throughout. Determination is a well written anthem style track, inspirational in its message and a great piece of timeless music for the masses. Something of an underground classic.
