OGClub Producer and Rapper Sakez recently took to his soundcloud to present a new EP “For The Sake Of It”. This new collection of beats totals eleven in all, with Sakez showcasing his abilities to produce some in Trap beats, with thumping beats, 808 basslines, crisp percussion and a continuous ambient sound throughout the EP. Tracks like ‘Capricorn’, ‘Oceans View’ and ‘Florida Nightz’, which is the bonus track on the release, all possess atmospheric melodies which will have you feeling like star-gazing, spaced out or wavy at the least. ‘Black Goku’ is one of the more pounding, bass-thudding beats on the project with some jangling percussion from Sakez, whilst ‘Why Jay’ kicks off with reverberating bass which is manipulated to Sakez liking, rather melodic and skippy in nature, with synths in the background which add rhythm to the instrumental which switches up every now and then. ‘Flashback’ has an alien vibe about it, the synth-laden beat ripples like sound waves. Another favourite is the ‘2 Gieshas’ beat which is a bit of a slasher production, that has an oriental influence, and turns quite sinister as it introduces a sense of danger.
