Nottingham-based Grime emcee Snowy is back with a brand new instant Grime classic, ‘Sezzin’, produced by renowned producers Jack Dat and Frost. Snowy shows exactly why he is considered to be one of the leading, most unique, electrifying and dynamic emcee’s to emerge from the UK, let alone the Midlands, taking to a high-energy, drilly grime production, with punchy, aggressive flow and delivery, as well as vigorous, unapologetic lyrics. He doesn’t hold back, spraying bars detailing the many endeavours he indulges in, from blowing a cheque on models, drink and smoke, then hitting the roads to make it all back through various hustles. Snowy attacks the bass-booming 808s, hard-hitting percussion and sinister melody, and displays witty lyricism and precision flows. Jack Dat and Frost produce a cold-sounding beat to compliment Snowy’s style perfectly, bringing to you a head-banging anthem indeed.

‘Sezzin’ follows up Snowy’s previous release ‘RECKEH’, a powerful 2 step anthem, and the relentless barrage of music from Snowy continues, as he prepares to launch his forthcoming 6-track EP ‘SIRIUS’.

‘Sezzin’ comes with accompanying visuals, directed and edited by Luke Radford and Lock Up, and is a perfect visualisation of not only what the song represents, the raw and gritty side of Nottingham, but also along with the underlying vintage grime sound, evokes memories of early grime videos. The video starts off with a local emcee, who delivers a fiery acappella freestyle that ends in him raging and screaming into the camera, setting the tone for the remainder of the video. The video takes you on a journey, narrated by Snowy himself, performing his heavy, heartfelt bars. Quick camera cuts, old VHS style shots and lots of footage filmed in the heart of Nottingham make up the final pieces to the visuals.

Having built up his reputation in the scene with visionary styles and experimental sounds, the Notts emcee has recently collaborated on projects with some of the most innovative, forward-thinking names in the UK such as Sleaford Mods’, Jason Williamson, Sumgii and Sam Binga. As Snowy continues to push the boundaries, and blending genres, he continues to gain support from notable platforms including DJ Mag, Complex and Rinse FM, as well as receiving support from the likes of DJ Sian Anderson and professional footballer Nile Ranger. His upcoming EP ‘SIRIUS’ will undoubtedly be his most ambition project to date, as he will be collaborating with varying producers who each will bring their own unique style to the project.
