Grime MC’s So Large and Mercston linked up together for a brand new collabo recently called ‘Crime’, with the visuals for the new Grime banger produced by GRM Daily. The track itself features the duo laying down vocals over a grimey bassline, with bubbly claps and snares, with a kind of old school garage/grime vibe. The lyrics by So Large and Mercston depict both their tendencies to disobey the law, So Large going in to depth, showcasing story telling skills as he rhymes about picks ups and drop offs, spitting about his own hustle, selling drugs, whilst also holding down his manor, and rolling around his manor like the boss. Mercston, unlike So Large who delivers raga style flows, drops a skippy verse, with a certain confidence in his delivery, rhyming about having been raking in the money from way back, dashing out designer names like it’s nothing, rhyming about the gyal that he links on a daily, and it becomes apparent that he has a business mind, looking to the future to save and build an empire, or even own his own house. The visual editing is as energetic as the rapid flows from both mc’s, with snappy shots and cuts, and effects which complement the beat.
