The Source-approved production duo Sticky Blood, consisting of former Arctic Monkeys’ bassist Andy Nicholson and Jamie Shield, team up with upcoming rapper Ajay Carter for their new single ‘I.D.’, out now via their own label Card Gang Music, in partnership with label and publisher Def Disco. The track in question features bass-heavy Hip Hop production from the duo, and with an intro that consists of much percussion, something the production duo were going for, kicks in to a punchy beat, and cue the on-point flows of 16 year old rapper Ajay Carter, flowing ever so precise over the snares and and tin-can hi-hats, possessing a street edge to his lyricism, but paying homage to old school favs like DJ EZ and Eazy-E, displaying his wordplay skills in the process, taking ribs at competition, and making it all seem so easy to him. The chorus features dark, dancehall style vocals over the thumping beat.
