Subten recently dropped the visuals to his much anticipated new single ‘Ed Edd n Eddy’, via SBTV and directed by Paul Whisper. Inspired by the Canadian-American animated comedy of the same name, Subten delivers energetic, skippy-flowing bars over the snappy, kicking, synth-laden melodic grime beat by Limitless MFR, dropping a catchy hook that epitomizes the ethos of the song.

The music video is packed with awesome effects, and filmed in a location doused in street art, gives it an old skool, almost animated look. The shots and the editing captures the vibe and energy that the riddim brings.

Subten has proven himself to be one of the most talented, fast-rising, hard-grafting emcee’s to emerge from the Grime scene this year, releasing three official videos, for ‘Mazza’, ‘Oh What A Shame’ and now ‘Ed Edd n Eddy’, and has been doing the rounds at radio sets and events, shelling it down on the mic.

Subten has received support from the likes of DJ Swingz of Radar Radio, DJ Kenny Allstars, Melody Kane and Sian Anderson over at BBC Radio 1Xtra, The Heavytrackerz and more. With videos released on GRM Daily, Link Up TV and SBTV, he released the Remember EP late last year on Mixtape Madness. Subten has appeared on shows on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Radar Radio, Doncity, Mode FM, Westside Radio, and had tracks aired on midday mixes from DJ Melody Kane and Nick Bright, both from BBC Radio 1Xtra. Performances include at UK Grime’s Active at Birthdays, Dalston and at WWETV UK’s Youtube Cypher, and Subten alsogot a wheel up at the packed-out, electrifying Grime Originals at Fire in Vauxhall. These performances and the support from some of the scenes most notable DJ’s and platforms, Subten has steadily risen to becoming on of the Grime scene’s next stars. If all of that wasn’t enough, Subten has just launched his own label/clothing line, Gaffer Entertainment, The Gaffer himself having been inspired by his own song ‘Mazza’, of which also spawned a remix featuring RD, Jammin, 2Face, Shailan and Richy. No doubt that soon Subten may be a boss in either the Grime scene, music business or clothing industry, and there are no limits.
