UK Emcee Tempa released a brand new track via his soundcloud recently, and is part of his #ClassicCovers series, this one featuring Tempa taking on a Grime classic in form of Kano’s Mic Check from Home Sweet Home. Tempa rhymes over the lively production with ease, flowing effortlessly on the beat which features distinguishable claps, and a bubbling bassline, delivering excellent bars in great style, dropping egotistical lyrics full of confidence for his own talent, parring off the haters, those who ain’t running anything, showing them how to do it properly from saving p’s to making music, emphasising the fact that he has been in the game for a long time too. With skippy flows, and wheel-up bars, and one line flows here and there, Tempa is a testament to the old skool, keeping it gully, knowing those who came before him and what it takes to be a star, and he is one in the making.
