Scumfam Grime/Hip Hop artist Tez Kidd released his newest mixtape recently, a Spring Summer 2014 collection of tracks. The opening track entitled “Remind Me” sets off the tone of the mixtape, with a House vibe to it, mixed with the current Trap vibe, and is an anthem for those randy lovers. The summer vibes are in abundance, and is one of the more lighter tunes on the tape. You have hard Trap bangers in the form of “Sleepwalkin” which depicts Tez Kidd’s hustle mentality, shotting all hours of the night. Crackhouse is another Trapper’s type song, with an ultra-bass heavy beat, with Tez fully on the Trap vibe.

As you go through the mixtape, you come back round to another summery vibe in “Slags Arnt Loyal”, with a catchy rhythm in the beat mixed with a deep bass, Tez Kidd expresses his own views on slags, warning us that they aren’t loyal, turning shady, ready to do you over at every opportunity. Tez Kidd serves you up a bit of Grime in “Grime Burial”, going in on the likes of Kozzie and Saskilla, slewing them man, reminding them of his notorious Lord of the Mics clash, labeling himself the King of the North MC’s. He takes swipes at Saskilla for mentioning his name, dropping gully bars, turining up the heat with aggressive and threatening lines. This is an onslaught!!!

Tez Kidd brings down the hype on “Got You”, dedicated to his gangsta bxtches, a love song of sorts, thug love like 2Pac, rhyming about the devine lady of his dreams who does anything for him, letting her know he is down for her and always got her. “Good Man” is turn around in the mixtape, with Tez Kidd dropping positive lyrical content, feeling blessed, in a great mood, moving up, getting money, trying his best in music and life in general, staying away from prison.

The final tune “Drunk Int Club” is a perfect banger to round of the mixtape, a remix of Beyonce’s RnB/Trap hit “Drunk In Love”. Switching the premise of the song to a club, feeling like the guy, the winner in the limelight, feeling like it’s his night, ready to buss everything, keeping his eyes on the ladies. For the first part, Tez uses auto-tune, wavily singing, and for the last segment of the track, he spits hard bars, depicting himself being drunk, hitting up various cities, driving without a care, chilling with a lady.

The Spring Summer 2014 collection features a range of tunes with different lyrical content, and Tez Kidd possess a wicked flow and ferocious delivery, the beat selection is perfect, helping to create the summer vibe along with Tez Kidd’s song writing.
