The Gremlins – Sizzurp (CLIP)
The Gremlins collective release a new audio clip for their latest track entitled “Sizzurp”. The lil monsters go ham with the Dubstep production drawing inspiration possibly from featured sampled vocalist Pimp C. The Gremlins use exerts from the Three Six Mafia classic for the intro, building up the layers gradually featuring a brooding deep bass underneath the melody and random electronic sfx, mad noise clips (including a lions roar) and light cymbals until the break comes. The bass drops like an anvil kicking in to a hard thumping rhythmic ensemble with The Gremlins also sampling break beat clips from old school Hip Hop, using the sliced beats as drum rolls. The track carries a dark undertone of bass, with layered retro sounding computer game style melodic keys and intricate sfx. The trademark Gremlins style angry rhythmic saw bass drives the tune peppered with kick rolls and the half time swing to the beats synonymous with their vibe. The Gremlins once again deliver an epic “Jump Up” Dubstep style banger, flexing their musical muscle and showing why they are a force to be reckoned with in the EDM scene.
