The Grime Show: Ghetto, Rival, So Large & Cadell

The Grime Show Ghetto, Rival, So Large & Cadell

Ghetto, off the back of a successful year, including being a nominee at the MOBOS for best album with ‘Rebel With a Cause’, and resurrecting Ghetto with the ‘Momentum 2’ mixtape, is joined by fellow Grime MC’s Rival, So Large and Cadell, on Sir Spyro’s The Grime Show on Rinse FM. Ghetto started off the Grime set, spraying gully, venomous bars, his delivery was ferocious as he delivered headtop bars for rivals. So Large licked down Rynsaman’s ‘Rynnie Shmurda’ instrumental, which is fast becoming an instant Grime classic, dropping punchlines and gritty lyrical content. Ghetto jumped on the beat also, spitting bars from his version, ‘Esco’s Spirit’. The gully, hard-edged lyricism was also adopted by Rival and Cadell, who both shelled down bars on Grime, Trap and Bassline beats, which both Spyro and DJ Unique, back to back on the decks supplied. Once again, the energy levels were high in the building, as always with Spyro’s shows, and he also talks to Ghetto about his plans for 2015, and the idea behind his making of ‘Esco’s Spirit’. Check out the immense set below and tell us what you think in the comments section . . .
