The NEW BLXCK – Andy Warhol [Music Video] @TheNewBlxck
Rap group The New Blxck return with a new music video for their latest release, “Andy Warhol”. The New Blxck go in with the political agenda, tackling racism, slavery, new age suppression, oppression, the media portrayal of Hip Hop and the struggles black folk face everyday . Andy Warhol is a powerful track, the beat is rock influenced, the video simple, but very effective, with the two rappers held like hostages by two balaclava wearing terrorists. The imagery depicted with the words of the song hold educational and revolutionary weight, as an almost artistically ironic, militantly satirical form of poetry. Love the way they “paint pictures” with their rhymes like “Andy Warhol”, a white artist who explored the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture and advertisement, whilst flipping the concept with their visual on screen art, using the bleak, detained form to deliver their potent messages. The New Blxck are an exceptionally talented couple of artists, both have an impressive flow, to match their strong creative lyricism. Really impressed with this track. Time to wake people up. Real Hip Hop with a real message. Check out the skills and leave us your feedback below…
