What could be described as the soundtrack to a mini film, two of Finland’s creative talents, Finnish Rapper View, and 22 Year Old self taught Finnish filmmaker Jenni Salonen, come together for an intriguing and captivating music video to View’s new track ‘Lace’ featuring LCMDF, from View’s forthcoming debut EP ‘Avalon’. The video follows and sticks to Jenni’s idea of injecting each project with feeling and to convey emotion, and along with View’s introspective lyricism, over a sauntering Hip Hop beat, about his own unstable mind as he goes through a state of depression, both in my opinion achieve that goal. The visual is divided in two parts, and excellently narrated, follows View’s journey on a rocky road, building suspense up to the climax of the video. The track itself is smooth in style, and LCMDF lend brilliant singing voices to the chorus, adding a sluggish vibe that leaves you feeling like you too are slipping down just like View is portrayed as doing so.
