Ten Dixon serves up a brand new EP, “Chabba”, with 10 strong, hard-hitting Grime tracks, including the bass-booming “Am I Loud” produced by Spank Cook, which Dixon takes a look at death, evaluating the music scene, coming to the conclusion that you’re more profitable when you’re dead, and pondering on chilling thoughts of his own death. Fire bars right there! Three songs back to back, “Anonymous Slaughter”, “Darkside” and “E Tripple T” featuring Ten Dixon bodybagging competition, the first track featuring Jon E Clayface, both running the track with rapid heat, with “Darkside” alongside EssKay on a deadly instrumental by Shannon Parkes, spraying headtop spinning bars. Shannon Parkes lends her production skills to another couple of tracks, the stand-out track being my favourite, an up-tempo, hard-hitting Grime beat with Ten spitting light-hearted bars with a skippy flow, a dub fit for the raves.

Another two tracks back to back which share the same vibe are “Life Ain’t What It Seems” featuring Charlie Tree’s and D Rogers and “Make It Happen”, both produced by Spank Cook, the production wavey, floaty and atmospheric Grime beats, lighter in tone, Ten Dixon sprouting positive messages in his bars about putting in the work instead of sitting around, focusing on a dream, and in the first track’s case, everyone in the scene coming together and helping out.
