Legendary producer and probably one of Grime’s pioneers, Wonder, released a brand new instrumental via his soundcloud recently, called ‘Soon Come’ which takes you back and is reminiscent of such beats as ‘Morgue’. Wonder produces a 140bpm Grime come Trap onslaught of whirring, reverberating bass, gun cocking sfx, and the classic ringtone style riff, recreating a jabbing, pulsating, mash up of different styles. There is a lot of impressive instrumentation going on in this instrumental, Wonder went ham with it as it seems, but all it needs now is an emcee to shell down bars, either way ‘Soon Come’ is a top-notch production from Wonder who still has the touch.
