Derby Rapper Staxxy took to soundcloud recently to release a brand new track, with boom bap production from Jurrell Wood, called ‘Reminisce’. Staxxy rhymes over a thumping beat and and melodious piano keys, as he pours out his painful memories on to the track, spitting with conviction about his past that is always threatening to catch up with him, friends, lovers and family that have turned away and left or turned enemies. Staxxy reveals his good heart that still shares love for many around him but which may be his downfall, and expressing his desire to either turn back time to do things differently or meet better days. Staxxy delivers a well crafted and written chorus that further emphasizes that his friends are drifting away in different directions, and stating that he is reminiscing on the past, as he lays down sauntering flows for the hook.
