West London artist Flares took to soundcloud recently to unveil a new track produced by DA called ‘Golden Pursuit’. Flares takes to a tranquil, ambient instrumental that slips in to a Drum and Bass production, rhyming about his search for truth, peace and happiness. Flares emphasizes his cold heart via juxtaposition, also describing his fire that he breathes on tracks, yet feeling cold and moody in his own heart, likely from the breakup with a friend or lover presumably. Flares is lyrically capable yet his flow and style doesn’t really lend itself to the beat. The more hard hitting production like the switch up right at the end would more suit him.
