East London artist AV representing Shine City, releases his brand new EP “My Day”. The EP consists of five new tracks and includes production from Taz Taylor/Dez Wright and PDUB The Producer. Having changed his sound in recent months, AV is back with this project which is a mix of Trap, Hip Hop/Rap and R&B. AV’s nurtured talents as a singer shine through as his smooth, urban vocals are juxtaposed on hard hitting tracks such as ‘Made Me’ and ‘The Reload’. ‘Made Me’ is a middle finger to those that don’t understand where AV comes from. ‘The Reload’ features contrasting rhymes to AV harmonious vocals, the song is about a drop which AV is about to make. AV’s ferociousness is evident on the bass-heavy, grimy banger ‘Come Thru” which once again is all about the grind and hustle on the roads of London. AV closes out the EP with two tracks produced by PDUB The Producer, ’12 Play’, a sleek and smooth trapesque R&B tune, AV expressing his interest in her and his wanting to take things further. ‘Everyday’ is a more pop-driven R&B track from PDUB and AV. Singing over a up-tempo beat that maybe you would hear from a Timbo and JT collabo, AV rhymes about the ways he would treat his woman, from shopping to loving and caring, a lifestyle which occurs everyday.
AV knows how to re-invent himself, staying current to the music scene both in the UK and international, and this project is right up there with the likes of Ty Dolla $ign, Bryson Tiller, or your Drakes and Kevin Gates, only with a British twist and flava.
