Casscade followed up the audio premiere of ‘Every Year’ on BBC Radio 1Xtra by Charlie Sloth, with a new track called ‘BMT’ or Big Man Ting, which also premiered on Westside FM on 22 December by Rebecca Judd as her “Judd UK of the Day” and ones to watch in 2017. The track has now surfaced on Mixtape Madness, an irony considering that it’s a madness! A hybrid song that draws influences from both Rap and Grime, Casscade displays a range of flows that are impressive and energetic, and the lyrics are witty and convey Casscade’s hunger to go for what he wants. The chorus is also superbly written and infectious, melodious too. Casscade has come along way in the last year or so, culminating in a premiere on Charlie Sloth’s show as the “Gas or Trash” gas track, and there is no doubting the quality and diversity of Casscade’s music. Casscade is an artist that stands out for sheer talent and originality, and is most definitely one to watch this year.
