After opening up in a candid interview with Not For The Radio, Fazer, formerly of N Dubz, returns with a new single and video via Link Up TV called ‘I Woke Up’. Fazer ditches the pop sounds for a grittier rap sound as he goes back to his roots, spreading his wings as a rapper/producer, rapping on a self-produced beat, exploring the highs and lows of his career and time in the music industry so far, stating his intentions of chasing the money that he expresses his love of. Fazer also inspires in bars that take you back to a time when he didn’t have anything, grinding to succeed.
A soulful trap beat, laden with strings, hi-hats and adlibs, Fazer displays not only incredible production skills but captivating lyrical skills and story telling abilities. It is nice to see Fazer returning to his roots, and perhaps it is time for him to venture out on his own and create some remarkable music of his own.
