The self-proclaimed ‘Nottingham Saviour’ Snowy has unveiled his highly-anticipated ‘SIRIUS’ EP, delivering nothing but straight #GREEZE, consisting of 6 Grime-infused tracks that pack fire and punch.

With the continuous conversation about Grime dying out, sparking controversy from both the older generation and new gen, Snowy however is one of many emcee’s that keeps the fire burning in the Grime scene, vigorously pushing the energy and shell-worthy bars to the forefront of Black British music. The EP encapsulates nostalgia from the offset, with production from the likes of Massappeals, MoreNight, Jikay, MNKN 1st, Milan, Frost, and JackDat, all adding their own modern-day spin to the genre that has helped to shape the current landscape in the UK Urban music scene. Prior to the monumental drop of the ‘SIRIUS’ EP, Snowy had already released bangers including ‘ALL THAT MATTERS’, ‘RECKEH’ and ‘SEZZIN’, the latter of which is produced by Frost and JackDat, and is a cold Drill-inspired Grime banger with raw and gritty flows and lyrics from an unapologetic, unremorseful Snowy who boasts of his endeavours and lifestyle. ‘ALL THAT MATTERS’ is a heavyweight Grime riddim produced by Massappeals, with energetic flows from Snowy, who embodies the hunger and determination it takes to rise to the next level. Meanwhile, ‘RECKEH’ is a powerful 2-step anthem for the summer, on which Snowy takes to a greezy bassline and uptempo, lively beat, delivering skippy flows, expressing a desire to swerve the madness and just enjoy the positive vibes that come with the vibrant weather.

‘TEAM’ features FLYD4T and Kyeza alongside Snowy, as all three go ham on a Grime-come-Dubstep riddim, which is aptly named, as the trio take to a heavyweight production produced by Jikay, Milan and MNKN. A team effort combines six creative minds, with Snowy, FLYD4T and Kyeza spraying gritty bars that take digs at those deemed not to be on their level. ‘PROPER’ is another lethal Dubstep-infused track, produced by MoreNight, whilst ‘CRAZY AGAIN’, once again produced by MoreNight features Snowy delving into deep into his thoughts and feelings, expressing his opinions on certain people that don’t offer him anything positive, as well as stressful times, all of which he has overcome and surpassed, showing the determination needed to take his craft to the next level.

‘SIRIUS’ showcases Snowy’s diverse production choice, as he takes to a mix of Grime, Garage, Dubstep, Trap and Drill, all within a seamless body of work, consisting of six tracks only. The ‘SIRIUS’ EP undoubtedly solidifies Snowy’s reputable grit and versatility within the scene.

Snowy’s catalogue spans over 10 years in the scene, and he has always pushed the musical boundaries, continuing to reinvent himself, and certainly never afraid to use his voice, resulting in his sound being both experimental and fearless. Snowy has also collaborated with some of the most innovative names from various genres, including Sleaford Mods’, Jason Williamson, Sumgii and Sam Binga, as well as regularly appearing on notable platforms including DJ Mag, Complex and Rinse FM. For this EP, ‘SIRIUS’ is undoubtedly one of his most ambitious projects to date, and sees him collaborate with varying producers who each bring their own unique style to the project. Snowy uses this EP to further display his witty bars, explosive ad-libs and all-round presence, and the ‘SIRIUS’ EP is set to launch him on a trajectory upwards.
