One of Words Are Weapons’ latest clashes saw Leeds MC Zen take on Jakus from Bradford. Round 1 saw both emcee’s in a close clash, although I think that Zen had the backing of the crowd, being that he was from Leeds. Zen spits fire, the crowd tentatively catching a lot of bars that were aimed at Jakus, some harsh lines that Jakus fought back to, his delivery was but he didn’t have the heated bars that Zen had to quite draw a reaction from the crowd. Both MC’s had perfect flow for the beat though but Zen edged it. He also put Jakus off at the start which may have been one of the key factors in the clash. Zen had more joke bars in round 2, even provoking a smile from Jakus, and was more hype, drawing energy from the crowd, Jakus hungrily dropped bars attacking Zen, going in with some embarrassing lines for Zen to stand and take, but Zen countered it with some more great wordplay. Jakus bought it back in this round, and the crowd even started to get behind him. That set up for a intense round 3, both in my opinion having won a round each, Zen spun Jakus with terrific flow and some good disses, as did Jakus towards Zen, trying with all his migh to edge the win, but Zen got in a dutty diss right at the end. Zen came away with the W but it could have easily gone the other way, superb clash. Check it out and tell us who you thought went in . . .
