Wize releases his 1^st track of the year alongside fellow artist Remus, setting the standards for the scene with pure fire on this one. Rick James is an epic Rock/Rap/Funk/Trap delight, produced by FGM, the instru takes inspiration from Rick James’ style of music, featuring a prominent funky bass/guitar riff, layered with luscious strings, booming kick drums cheeky clap/snares and a sampled trap style breathy vocal percussion throughout. The two MC’s go ham on the beat with Wize adopting an energetic flow and an almost growling like characteristic to his vocals, lyrically, spitting about getting high and aggressively stating his dominance in the game despite being in said state. Remus goes in too, with intricate wordplay and uniquely interesting metaphors. Both rappers prove their mettle on an exciting, originally creative song and as the chorus professes like Rick James, they are most certainly “winners”.
