JDZ media release a brand new net video from midlands rapper CS for his track “Under The Knife”. CS lays deep, thought provoking lyrics over a gorgeous Hip Hop beat, featuring a subtle sung sample setting the tone of the track. The production is emotive, with delicious piano chords, effective prominent reverberating snares and intricate hi hats. CS goes in with the inspirational rhymes, spitting about bettering his life and laying his soul bare for all to see, lamenting his own past mistakes and warning younger generations of the pit falls in life. CS adopts a juxtaposing rapid flow for such a chilled backing track, which actually works brilliantly, helping his message stand out, whilst the flow merges seamlessly with the tempo of the song. CS is an accomplished writer, with the ability to educate through his music, and deliver revolutionary words of wisdom without sounding preachy or pretentious. This is a skill that stands CS in good stead for the future, making him an artist to look out for in 2014. Real talent that deserves even more exposure.
