South Londoner Castro releases 2 tracks in one, as the SO Solid affiliate expresses his thoughts on teenage fatherhood and the lack responsibility, also using the second track to let out his frustration on the music industry. Castro goes in on track 1 over a horn filled dark trap beat, rapping about the dead beat young dads, more concerned with the hustling lifestyle, having a pocket full of weed but not enough money to buy their mothers shopping. Castro addresses the reality of kids being raised by kids, people wanting stuff for nothing without working for it, and the cycle continuing over and over. This is politics on a level, big tune. The break between tunes sets the tone with a exert from The Dark Knight, using a chilling Joker quote to set up the next song. Castro goes ham on beat two, spitting fire over a crazy, grime style rock influenced, edm, synth heavy instru, where he switches the flows and hypes the energy further, firing shots at rivals, stating his greatness and slewing anybody in his path with aggressive barring. The chorus is a mad sampled scream “Its Alive”, maybe referring to the monster in Castro, regardless, the versatility shown on both tunes, shows us why Cas is one of the best rappers around right now.
