UK singer/rapper/artist JR The Sound Boi took to his official soundcloud to release a fresh remix of Usher’s hit Superstar. JR puts his own twist on a well known track, turning it into another song altogether. JR spits about a love lost, being cheated on and lets off parting shots to the one that did the dirt on him, flowing smoothly over the beat, with meandering pitter patter and bubbly delivery. The chorus is nicely sung, in a laid back, relaxed fashion, Andre Benjamin style, like a true crooner, with a bit of pain in his voice. Really impressed with the new lease of life given to Usher’s original track, with JR proving his song writing talents and knack for recording bangers. Been rocking this for a couple days now still, JR is a talented you guy, turning serious subjects into great music. A potentially big artist in the UK urban music scene.
