WAW Grime Clash | K’DEE VS VOLTZ
Words Are Weapons recently hosted a Grime clash between K’dee from Manchester and Voltz from Stockport. Voltz started proceedings in Round 1, flowing effortlessly over the dutty instrumental, but in my opinion, never really had many stand out bars, apart from some good punchlines, and his lyrics weren’t direct either, compared to K’Dee who straight away jumped in to aim his bars at Voltz, mentioning his weight amongst other things, and calling him Phil Mitchell, drawing mad reaction from the crowd. Voltz only had enough to diss K’Dee on his flow, facial features and such, where as K’Dee continued to push the levels with excellent delivery as well as a slew of bars. The second beat saw K’Dee bring more fire, raining down warfare on Voltz, with Voltz spurred on by the last round, going in, drawing out his opponent on his supposed inability to link girls, or at least the lower class crowd. The clash saw K’Dee pretty much stick with the notion that Voltz is on the large side, but creatively was able to come up with some humorous bars, with the crowd obviously on his side. On this occasion, the result reflected the clash overall, with K’Dee winning. Check it out and tell us your thoughts . . .
