One of the main event clashes from Words Are Weapons recently was from Leeds, between Grime MC’s Future from Huddersfield, and Kritikal from York. Future was up first in round 1 of the WAW Title Tournament, commenting on his opponent’s weight, and in general, spitting some superb bars, excellent flow too. Kritikal hit back, mentioning how his opponent wasn’t worthy to clash him, bringing Future’s girl in to it. The first round was back and forth, Future getting a wheel up with a bar, telling Kritikal to hit up the gym. Kritikal, in my opinion, killed it with the fast-paced, energetic delivery and flows. In round 2, both sprayed over a Trap/Grime beat, with awesome, rapid delivery, ending up concluding that Kritikal won’t win the the clash, not giving his opponent’s music any ratings, and dissing him on his appearance. Future had a few bars to spin his opponent, getting a second wheel up amongst bars accusing Kritikal of drug use, whereas there wasn’t much to shout about for Kritikal in this round, except pulling up Future on always wearing gloves like Michael Jackson. Round 3 saw Future go even harder on another Grime instrumental, telling hos Kritikal isn’t street, dropping a slew of lethal, deadly bars, Kritikal replying with some mum jokes, trying his best to bodybag Future. Future took the win in my opinion, Kritikal wasn’t direct enough with his bars, whereas the relevance was more evident in Future’s bars.
