UK Urban RnB Singer/Songwriter Jem Cooke collaborated with Marvell Crew MC Double S for a brand new track recently called ‘Catch You’. With the visuals hosted by SBTV, and directed by Ashur Yelda, Jem recently singed with Naughty Boy (Naughty Words/Sony ATV publishing), and this second track this year exemplifies why she is one to look out for in 2015. The production is a slow, building, mellow, melodic instrumental, with orchestral instruments and infectious claps, as Jem’s lyrics depict a friendship between her and a close friend, speaking to her friend who is feeling down, expressing the fact that she would never leave them alone, and that she will always be there for them. As the beat builds in to a hard hitting anthem, Jem never loses the emotion that she injects in to her crisp voice, vocalising effortlessly. Double S adds another vibe to the track with a slight Hip Hop feel, dropping top-notch verse, talking that one girl that is the one, one who makes him bring out all of his feelings, telling hher how he feels about her, and other than chasing the money, he too will be there for that girl. The track is a deep, meaningful track that many could relate to, and the slick visuals are scenic, cinematic, and reflect the tranquillity of the song.
