The Bar Staff’s M.O.N.G.R.E.L linked up with Chiba Visuals for this new Hip Hop freestyle for the [A Story To Tell] series called #SweetSoul. In the short performance, Mungz showcases brilliant story telling, his lyricism depicting the relationship between him and his girlfriend, and aslo the turmoil in which her mother’s death has left her in. All seems bless, a strong-minded individual was his girl, seemingly free, and giving him encouragement in his music, until a terrible day in which he receives the phone call that she has taken her life. This freestyle speaks of loss, relationships and tragedy, making for a very interesting story, whilst elevating M.O.N.G.R.E.L’s status as a accomplished song writer, lyricist and he flows effortlessly over the Big Pun instrumental I believe, with precision and and vigorously.
