London-born and Birmingham raised Rapper, Singer and Songwriter Aaron Ak returns, hot off the back of releasing his debut EP ‘The Level Up’ earlier this year, with a brand new music video for new single ‘Evolved’.

Produced by WZDM, ‘Evolved’ is a Trap-infused Hip Hop banger, which features Aaron on a production with a grandiose piano-led melody, offering up rapidly delivered bars that run parallel to the energizing percussion, with lyricism just as impactful as the pounding beat. Aaron displays terrific wordplay ability, putting the pedal to the metal and hitting us with a barrage of clever metaphors and punchlines as well as meaningful content, that explores his trials and tribulations in life in general, as well as pursuing a career as a musician, and how he has overcome so much, proving his hunger and determination. Aaron Ak also aims friendly shots at the competition, serving as a warning of his skill and talent, showing his confidence in the process. Aaron also showcases his singing capabilities, with a hook towards the end, which is smoothly sung.

The visuals are by DanTakeYourShot, who directs and edits the video, which compliments the uplifting vibe of the music, but also reflecting the progression and evolution of Aaron Ak the artist, as he is seen sitting on a golden throne-like chair and a plush leather sofa, as well as a plant in the background, which possibly symbolizes Aaron’s growth. The visuals allow Aaron Ak to also direct the focus on to his lyrics and the wordplay, with some fantastic, captivating word animation.

Having been creating music for the past few years, Aaron Ak has really seriously pursued a music career in the last 18 months or so, coinciding with the lockdown. Since then, over the course of 2020 and 2021, Aaron has built himself a portfolio of online freestyles and music videos via YouTube, a catalogue of music including his debut EP ‘The Level Up’, and has recently kicked off his own Instagram series #verseoftheweek, which sees him record and freestyle a verse over any beat, whether that be Grime, Rap/Hip-Hop or Drill. Aaron Ak may still be in the early stages of his career, but he has already been recognized and supported by Link Up TV, as well as playlisted by BBC Asian Network in conjunction with BBC Introducing .

Aaron Ak has a positive aura about him and his music, and his talent speaks for itself, as he doesn’t limit himself to one particular sound, having the ability to go from Grime to Trap, Drill and Rap/Hip-Hop, even R&B influences in his singing. Aaron demonstrates his varied skills, as rapper, singer, and songwriter, with accomplished lyrical prowess.
