Scumfam’s Ak and Highrise Ent’s Xp went head to head in a recent Don’t Flop Grime Clash, as both premiered in the battle league. Xp chose Ak to go up first in the coin toss, who straight away showcased great wordplay, playing around with his opponent’s name, dropping a few jokes aimed at Xp’s woman amongst others. Both kill it with wordplay and punchlines, Xp getting a wheel up when he mentions Ak’s size, and the two of them continue to trade heated bars in the first round, as well as Xp using Ak’s one liners against him to question Ak’s bad guy image, misled by his name. Ak goes in to round 2 as he means to go on, with some jokes towards Xp and his girl, sticking to the same rhyme pattern which is impressive and creative, but Xp hits back with embarrassing bars about Ak, whether or not they are true, they are humorous. Ak kills it with a slew of ginger disses towards Xp, with hilarious consequences, the bars also rolling rapidly off of Ak’s tongue. Xp goes in on the third beat with one line flows, dissing Ak’s woman too. Ak puts down Xp, using his appearance on LOTM, and calling Xp a Don’t Flop sideman, Xp replying and stating that is where Ak’s hype stops, both ending the clash with a tense stand off, using each other’s one liners against each again. The clash from the off was terrific, both went in with potent lyricism, as well as mixing it up with punchlines, metaphors, relevant disses, and great flow and delivery. A close one to call, if I had to say who won, I would go for Ak only just, but let us know who you think took it below in the comments section . . .
