AV The Pharaoh, of #Pound, released a brand new track, ‘Say What’s Real’ via soundcloud last week as part of Pharaoh Thursdays. Remixing Drake’s song of the same name, AV gets some things off of his chest, setting the scene, using the studio as a safe haven, rhyming about stresses from his girl to management, and the pain he has gone through down the years, watching his family struggle, contemplating selling drugs but having the sense not to because of the consequences. AV also rhymes about the pressure of keeping up appearances like he has made it even though he feels he hasn’t, proving the doubters wrong that he is still here, and doing away with everyone else and standing on his own two feet. AV The Pharaoh puts a lot of thought and personal matters in this deep track, crafting different stages of his life in to a seamless story which showcases his excellent song craft, plus he flows effortlessly on the beat, delivery picking up on his pain.
