Taken from their current mixtape “Civil War”, Brooklyn’s Bankai Fam dropped a new joint hosted by DJ Ready Cee and produced by UK’s Endemic Emerald, and features P General, Low Banga and Feature P. All skilled lyrical assassins from the streets of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and put together by French producer Kyo Itachi, their music is in the same vain as NYC super groups like Wu-Tang Clan and Boot Camp Clik.
This song makes a strong statement that “The Real Is Back” as the three lyricists deliver precise and sharp lyrics on a boom bap beat from Endemic, taking swipes at the fake emcee’s in the rap game, and detailing their own penchant for grittier music and lifestyles.
2017 will see a slew of releases from Bankai Fam as a collective and as solo members. Having released their debut EP “On My Side” in 2013 to critical acclaim, they have since dropped solo projects from Skanks & G Stats via French label Shinigamie Records.
