5 years on since the critically-acclaimed release of Black Feather Messengers, Bedlam Brethren’s full length debut, Hollow Christ, Cheating Death (a/k/a Merc Versus) and New Zealand’s own dark Classic Hip Hop composer Spearman will return in 2017 with their next offering Instruments of Cruelty, featuring production from Spearman, the UK’s Endemic Emerald, and Canada’s White Lotus. They will “deliver another powerful contribution from their ancient form of Hip Hop”, “bringing order out of chaos!”. The new single ‘Assassin Art’ is produced by Endemic Emerald features precision flows from the emcee’s on a boom bap, slapping rap beat with and ancient sounding melody in the same vein as Wu-Tang production. The lyricism and the flows are sharp and cutting as the emcee’s take on the roles of lyrical assassins. Bedlam Brethren have worked with Chief Kamachi, Thirstin Howl the 3rd, C-Rayz Walz, and the late Kevlaar 7, shared stages with Cappadonna and Bronze Nazareth representing the true art form.
