Bilzar and Pedro both went head to head in one of the recent Grime Clashes for Don’t Flop in their premiere Grime event. Both London MC’s put on a super display of lyricism, Bilzar stepping up first on a grimey trap influenced instrumental, stating that his opponent is little steps in his clash career, and he kills it with superb delivery, but not a lot of bars aimed at or relevant to Pedro. Pedro starts off by calling Bilzar a b***h, dropping some quite ludicrous bars, one I think aimed at Bilzar and his sister, but generally going in with nice wordplay. Bilzar gets a wheel up for a good punchline, dissing Pedro on his abilities. Round 2 started with Bilzar doubting Pedro’s bad boy status, getting the crowd hyped with some good punchlines, Pedro hitting back with aplay on words which was quite impressive, dissing Bilzar’s girl, but Bilzar got the wheel up with a good bar about claiming that Pedro tries acting bad in his bedroom. I would put both Bilzar and Pedro at 1-1 at the start of Round 3 in a tight clash, Bilzar dropping some good bars that spin his opponent in a breath taking lyrical slew, Pedro coming back with some bars that he tries to bury his oppnent with, but overall, his flow and rapid delivery is the highlight. Overall, I think Bilzar won the clash 2-1, having the edge over Pedro, with a more good punchlines and metaphors, although both had lyrical fire nevertheless.
