Nottingham collective Certified Blood & Family (CBF) linked up with Nottingham Producer Riddla for their latest mixtape called “Part Time Grime”. All beats produced by Riddla, the mixtape features Fonzse, Vadez, Omie Omz, Poet and Beezy on grimy, trap-influenced beats, and the tracks delving in to different aspects of a street life for these artists, from trapping and grinding. Fighting and beefing with rivals like on ’10 Rounds’, and having the odd bit of fun when checking out the gyal, as exemplified on ‘Coolie Gyal’.
This five track EP mixes trap and grime elements together, with the first few being electronic, bass-heavy trap, where as the production ‘Coolie Gyal’ has more of an old school grime sound to it. Nevertheless. CBF showcase their talents not only Rap/Hip Hop but on Grime as well on this new mixtape.
