“The Introduction” is the new EP from Essex-born Hip Hop artist Cliche. Serving exactly as an introduction to Cliche, his life and his music and sound, it features eight tracks with special features from Paigey Cakey, Ziey Kizzy, Don Jaga, El Toro and US Rapper and son of the late Proof of D12, Nasaan. Tracks like ‘Wanna Be The Man’ and ‘Never Break Me’ feature lyrics from Cliche which emphasize his self-determination and positive energy. ‘Wanna Be The Man’ sees Cliche drop hard hitting lyrics on a bass beat and ambient melody, and Nasaan joins him on the remix, which is also produced by TaylorMadeBeatz, dropping fast-flowing bars. ‘The Otherside’ is produced by Sinima Beats and is a metaphor for Cliche mission to get to his destination, achieve his dreams, making it for himself and most importantly his brother. Cliche delivers some clever punchlines on this track which features a wonderfully sung hook. ‘Be Somebody’ continues to expand on Cliche hopes of making something of himself and achieve his dreams. This one also features an R&B vibe with sung vocals from a male vocalist on the hook, yet the Madreal production is trapesque. ‘Pain Through My Eyes’ is a heart-felt poignant track with lyrics depicting the moments when Cliche lost his brother, the lyrics also revealing very real pain. Don Jaga of USG features on the hook, providing emotion in his delivery. One of the singles from the EP, and the most banging of all of the tracks, is ‘F With Me Now’ featuring Paigey Cakey and Ziey Kizzy, the three laying down vocals over a heavyweight, bass-rich trap beat by Dion Baran. The lyrics address those that only come around when you are succeeding, and is a metaphorical middle finger to the ones that slept on them. Both Paigey Cakey and Cliche deliver bars with force and rapid flows, and Ziey provides uplifting singing vocals on the chorus.
