Don’t Flop release their latest battle filmed at the recent Set The Standard X event. This clash features two of the leagues most piss takingly potent rappers, Southerner Cystic and Northerner Suus. In a deceivingly close battle, Suus walked away with the W in a unanimous judging decision. Agree with the win, maybe it has more to do with Suus’ funnier punchlines and whilst Cystic had humor in his bars, his delivery was less colourful, maybe a little too serious for a more comedy based opponent. Cystic may have had the more impressive wordplay throughout, he did get some laughs, but Suus just kept the jokes coming, outscoring his opponent with the punchlines. Cystic might have had the 1^st round by a shade, but Suus grew in confidence over the last two rounds in a mission to put himself back on the UK battle rap map (succeeded). Big battle, Cystic’s 1^st round was hard, very intense and brutal lines aimed at his opponent. Suus killed it with the Bamalam scheme in the last round, and the line about Cystic having the “rap skills of the cast of Nashville” was hilarious. Good battle on the whole, maybe wouldn’t have matched these two up though. Check it out and let us know who you think won in the comments section below…
