Deflo and Death Kiss Musick are back with a brand new release, the #RedPandaEP, one that introduces a hybrid sound from him, mixing Trap, R&B and Hip Hop. Somewhat of a personal, heart-felt project, it features not one but two remixes of Rihanna’s ‘Needed Me’, Love That I/Hate That I Needed You, one expressing how much a girl meant to him, and the other featuring some clever lyricism and wicked flows, Deflo’s attitude not so caring as the previous remix. Remixes to Nicki Minaj’s ‘Only’ and Desiigner’s ‘Panda’ showcase Deflo, raw and aggressive flows and delivery, and harsh lyricism which nevertheless features clever wordplay. A remix of Drake’s ‘Girls Like Beyonce’ is anther song about Deflo’s love for someone that is a cut above the likes of Beyonce or Rihanna, the bars are introspective and convey the special type of relationship that Deflo and his woman had. A freestyle on The Black Eyes Peas Dirty Bit sees Deflo kicking superb, rhythmic flows over the dirty house beat, dropping some humorous bars displaying his elite wordplay skills. This one brings some light-heartedness and fun to the EP. Finally, Deflo delivers his own remix of Mac Miller’s Dang! featuring Anderson .Paak. Produced by Pomo. As with the many different alter-ego’s of Death Kiss Musick, Deflo (the rapper) and Dreleon (the singer), this song features a perfect mix of smooth singing on a groovy beat, a fusion of Hip Hop and R&B. The singing is comfy and relaxing and laid back, and the rap verse is just as calming. This makes for a brilliant, touching love song for anyone in love.
