Manchester artist Don Teesta drops his fire new mixtape #365, a project which features the likes of Vader, G-Dash and Manikye, and the hottest music from the streets. ‘Box’ opens the mixtape and is a gully trap banger from Don Teesta. One of many gritty street bangers to convey Don Teesta’s lifestyle, grinding to make profits off of what he is selling, and there is a braggadocio attitude to Don Teesta who takes wipes at those who aren’t real like they may claim. ‘Grind Coz I Gutta’ featuring Manikye may be a play on words, the fact that the two have to grind because of their situation, and that they are from the gutta. This one features the two rappers rhyming on a solemn hip hop beat. Don Teesta gives us his own version of Monica’s ‘So Gone’, also sampled on 213’s So Fly’. Don then links up with one the certified realest and a veteran in the game, Invasion Alert’s Vader, for ‘Manny To Brum’. This one is a demolition as Vader especially kills it with fast flows as both reveal similarities between both cities regarding grinding and both separate the real from the fakes. ‘Trust Nobody’ is West-Coast influenced Hip Hop/Trap tune from Don as he emphasizes his lack of trust for just about anyone, only focusing on getting money. #365 is the title track and this one exemplifies Don Teesta’s hunger and consistency, grinding 24-7, everyday of the week.
This mixtape takes you into the life of Don Teesta, for those who can relate or even those that are not accustomed to the lifestyle that Don raps about. The production is undeniably banging, and Don Teesta’s lyrical content is gritty and realistic.
