London rapper Dray Delta took to his official soundcloud to release a fresh banger from his forthcoming e.p due to be released summer 2014. The Dance slash Rap track entitled “Dat Cool?” is a fun, bouncing, bubbling lil riddim with old school Garage production, hypnotic, pulsating bass, keys and in your face pumping beats mixed with intricate juggling snares and hats. Dray Delta peppers the track with his hyper meandering delivery and crazy flow. Dray addresses the subject of artists/fans/ravers not wanting to have fun in the venue, simply asking if its cool for him to do his thing and rock the mic. Dray spits about his desire to perform, record tracks on a constant and has a tongue in cheek poke at rival MC’s with some cheeky lyricism, whilst stating his skills and musically focused mind set. The chorus to “Dat Cool?” is an anthemic, lively chant, with Delta asking fans of his sound and performance to follow his wave/vibe and have fun with him. This is the type of track to go down a treat in a club, with a catchy hook, positive subject matter and bouncy style to the music, sadly missing in a lot of UK rap music currently.
