Sensual songstress Drey Cheekz, who has over 30,000 plays on soundcloud alone, has released her latest single ‘New Girl’ which is produced by Jay Jay Musika. Hailing from East London, the singer/songwriter takes to Jay Jay Musika’s ambient, trippy and trapesque R&B production laden with organs, delivering lyrics which are inspired by and tackle relationship, or situationship issues which Drey Cheekz believes every girl can relate to nowadays. The song’s verses sum up what girls go through when they have get caught up in the idea of staying in a relationship forever, for the guy who she thought was the one is taken up by another girl that comes along. Drey Cheekz also explores the thoughts and also what the girl’s close ones around her have to say.
Having officially become a member of #TheGoodVibeTribe on 2015, Drey is set to release her upcoming EP “Last Laugh” later this year, which draws on her own life experiences and struggles that Drey has faced during her musical career so far, and it is apparent that she has found the strength in believing that everything will one day work out and she shall have the last laugh.
