West London Grime MC Eloper44 aka FoarFoar recently took to a brand new soundcloud account to release a new EP, called “Blue Ice Cream Volume 1”. Featuring 5 tracks, Eloper44 spits on a couple of grimey orientated instrumentals as well as trying his hand at Hip Hop, UK Garage and Dance. Kicking off with “Vibe” featuring F.O.D, this track has a Garage vibe, all emcee’s spitting bubbly lyrics, bringing the vibes on the dirty bassline tune. Eloper44 teams up with fellow West London MC Steamer on “Rotten” produced by DDF Productions, another dirty instrumental, a mix of Grime and Dubstep elements, speaking on the slums they come from, and the illuminati watching over us, making us feel trapped. “Unkwon” produced by Th3rty2 is the other Grime/Garage track. Eloper44 takes Route 94’s Deep House track “My Love” and fabulously remixes it, laying down wicked lyrics, rhyming about his heartache and all that is losing him his sanity. Eloper44 really gets in the swing with a smooth flow on this beating instrumental. The final track, “Reign”, is a cool, breezy Hip Hop track with a summer vibe, back tracking for a moment to hectic times in his life, fighting against the systems, fighting for survival and as he states in the hook, why when he as good as he is at what he does. In my opinion, Eloper44 displays the best delivery and flow on the whole EP here, as well as the lyricism and song craft seeming well thought about, plus the beat is perfect for Eloper’s style.
