Fire In The Booth – Bugzy Malone
Manchester MC Bugzy Malone rolled through the BBC Studios recently to deliver that Fire In The Booth for Charlie Sloth on BBC Radio 1Xtra. Holding down 0161, Bugzy decimates the first beat, a bass-rich, menacing Trap beat, delivering breath-taking flows, as he rhymes about an early life which pin-points the moment in his life when he went off the rails, he shows no fear towards no man or mc as he also spits cold bars, and goes on to spray some politically infused lyrics. Bugzy Malone then switches to another thumping Hip Hop beat, as he rhymes about keeping a low profile on roads, and also talks about glitches in his music career, yet having the perseverance to get back on track and handling his business. Bugzy delivers a few punchlines here and there in this session, and also kills it on the second beat with Grime flows, throwing in his trademark catchphrase. Bugzy is a problem for the Grime scene and also the Rap scene as that, and is one to look out for this year.
