Humanism, an ambient/alternative quartet from Whitley Bay, will be taking to the O2 Academy 2 in Newcastle this coming Saturday 6th. The band will be bringing along their own unique sound which is described as “dreamy indie rock with swoony hooks and ambient gorgeousness”. Humanism have garnered attention from BBC Introducing, and have made numerous radio features as well as headlining slots at Evolution Emerging Festival 2014, and are in the recording process of their new upcoming second album ‘Porcelain Soul’.
Along with Humanism, there will be support from Street Party In Soho, a four-member band who have labeled themselves as Liquid Candy Shop Afro-Pop, and consist of Hogg, Vert, Webb and Young, hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne, these young artists have already made waves with being featured on BAFTA award-winning ‘Made In Chelsea’, and NME.com, and have attracted attention from producers such as Alan Smyth (Arctic Monkeys), Gordon Raphael (The Strokes) and Jay Henchman (Jordin Sparks) as well as Virgin Records, EMI Records and Kessinger Publishing.
The third act to support Humanism will be a Death Kiss Media favourite, vocalist ABSORB hailing from County Durham, who makes music across many genres including Grime, Dubstep, Bass and Drum and Bass. ABSORB has numerous singles featuring the likes of No Lay, Sarah T and Lady Chann, and has picked up support from MistaJam of BBC Radio 1Xtra, Kiss FM’s True Tiger, Unity Radio and SBTV. As well as being featured as BBC 1Xtra’s Introducing Track Of The Week with ‘I’m Done’ featuring Lady Chann, ABSORB has just released a brand new massive Grime banger with The Heavytrackerz production entitled ‘OI You’.
